Better late than never?

I personally have never blogged.   I first learned of it from a niece who was keeping faraway family updated on her life as a new mom.  I thought - thats cool, now her family can keep up!   She has really gotten into it and is even at a blogger conference this weekend.  What?    I have also had some negative thoughts - oh yes, just what we need... Another platform for people to brag about themselves and seek attention!   Let me tell you where I am now...I am starting this blog to get my thoughts down.  Thoughts about what is happening now, reflections about the past and some trajectory towards the future.   This is probably more appropriately called a journal, but I did want to make it public so that others might relate, be encouraged or even think "wow, I look good compared to that lady!".   I wouldn't mind at all.   What ignited me to start this today is reading my great niece's birth story which was linked to her mom's blog in little Zoe's one year birthday posting.   How I wish I would have keep a running log of my kids younger years.   Maybe reading it while they grew and even now that they are getting into young adult stages they would see God's story woven through it all and a mama's heart that would die for them.  So I am starting now.  Today.    And I am calling this HisCatalyst because God is continually pursuing me, ushering me towards change for the better and at times, amazingly, using me to spark change in others as well.
